Art to me is an expression of one’s self. Writing is art to me but I’m definitely not making this post to bore you.
I’m here to write about my day!!
Have you ever woken up knowing that you made plans but the side of the bed you woke up on makes you want to reconsider those plans and lay in bed all day?
That was me this this morning.
I slept last night excited that I was going to wake up, bath and go for Charity with Art.
The drizzling of the rain already made me feel like I wasn’t supposed to go anywhere but after hours of psyching myself to go to the bathroom, I finally got clean and focused on dressing up.
Nothing was working out for me, none of my clothes were seeming to fit the occasion, my hair was refusing to agree with me and after minutes of trying to get everything to work out. I settled for ‘let me just wear cloth and go’ with a shirt that doubled as a dress that was made and gifted to me by Kinabuti and a wig which I eventually removed minutes after getting to the venue.
Charity with Art 2.0 themed Gusto housed the largest number of talents I had ever come across in one place, on the same day. With every talent feeling humbled by the next person who would happen to have amazing skills, I harnessed my inner artistic skills, picked up a brush and decided to paint on people’s bodies
It didn’t come out so well but trust me to not fail to tell myself that I did good and move on to the next person. With the amount of curses I received from my moving canvases who exclaimed after seeing the artistic nonsense I did on their bodies, I knew that body art wasn’t something I was going to stop early.
Being amongst talents excited me, especially since I had convinced four different artists to draw on my body and almost every photographer to let me stand in front of their lenses

My little ball of trouble did not stop rolling without me playing the virtual reality game. Your girl got to level three!!! Eventually, I’ll harness my inner game man and become an expert at it.
As soon as I find a cure to laziness.
Being a part of Gusto 2018 made me feel extremely proud of myself for not giving in to my feelings in the morning and damning the condition of the weather to attend.
Whenever you stop at Ndubisi Kanu park, visit the Gusto official art installation and find my signature on it. It’s on three different places.

My day ended with my visit to PinkBerry, simply because I had been craving their frozen yoghurt in real life after tasting it on Instagram. I testify to tasting heaven in form of yoghurt and from now on, if we must meet, it has to be at a Pinkberry frozen yoghurt outlet.

People stared at my body through my journey home but then, I had the littest day!!!

How are your Saturdays like?
If given the opportunity to mingle with artistic minds, will you jump at it?
